What does a chiropractor do?

By Paul

Chiropractic is the largest drug-free healthcare in the world. Chiropractors work with the bones of your spinal column and the nerves in and around your spinal cord. Hidden inside your body is the most powerful “mainframe computer” in the world — your brain. Your brain controls your body functions. It “talks” through a vast communications system of nerve “wires.” Nerves leave your brain and travel from your skull as a tightly knit bundle of billions of nerves – your spinal cord. Nerves carry messages to and from your brain which s how your brain controls and coordinates the function of your body parts. Chiropractors spend years in highly specialized training to learn how to locate misplaced spinal vertebrae that are interfering with nerves around your brain and spinal cord. After locating spine and nerve stress caused by a vertebra impinging the nerves (subluxations), your chiropractor is able to realign your vertebrae and thus release pressure on your nerves and body structure. This procedure is called a chiropractic spinal adjustment.

When nerves not connected to the conscious brain are damaged, the brain doesn’t feel any pain – even though the nerve damage may be causing physical malfunction. The damaged nerves may receive an improper nerve supply for years. Subluxations may be undermining your health for years, while you are unaware there is a serious problem.

Many of people are walking around with many subluxations. They don’t feel anything wrong in their backs or necks so they think their nerves are fine and they never get checked by a chiropractor. How wrong they are! How do you know if you have a subluxation? You go to a chiropractor and get your spine checked and adjusted!
